West Elk Equine
Judah was foaled on March 29th, 2016. He is a gorgeous blue roan jack with a blaze, primitive striping, a shoulder cross, excellent bone, and superb breeding and conformation. Lake Nowhere Judah, son of now-deceased AMJR PCF Genesis (grandson of Preacher, great-grandson of BullyBoy and great-great-grandson of JenJack), has one of the finest heritage American bloodlines in the US. Lake Nowhere Judah has joined his Genesis-bred 1/2 brothers; Jubal in Puerto Rico, Kagen in Israel in producing outstanding, athletic, intelligent, kind mules here in Colorado. He is currently 15hh and will mature even taller. His sire was 15.2hh and his dam is 15.3hh. Judah is dual- registered with both ADMS and AMJA.
Judah exemplifies everything General George Washington was aspiring to produce when, in 1786 he bred his first Spanish jack to a Maltese jennet to create, what would become known as, the American Mammoth Jackstock donkey breed to improve mule production in the colonies. Two hundred and twenty years later, we are proud to continue his vision and legacy. Judah gaits in the pasture and comes from a gaited sire that consistently passes gait to even non-gaited mares. Judah has an extremely calm and gentle disposition. As a 6-month-old he visited out local senior center, and he has been the star of two events to raise money for our local animal shelter. This year we started him under saddle and we plan on training his to drive as well. He was the easiest animal we ever started under saddle and he is incredibly intelligent, kind, and willing. Judah is out of the world-renowned mammoth donkey breeding program, Lake Nowhere Mule and Donkey Farm. Judah had a fantastic first breeding season as a two-year-old with 11 mares and one jennet confirmed in foal. His first crop of foals this year exceeded all our expectations. Wyatt, his first foal, was born April 6th and he is a stunning dun colt with unbelievable markings. Judah’s second foal Theodore was born April 16th and he is a drop-dead-gorgeous bay Rocky Mountain mule colt. Theodore was sold the day after he was born. His third foal May was born April 16h and she is an absolutely stunning bay stocking-legged fox trotter filly. She has been under contract since three days after she was born. His third foal Betty was born 5/14/2019. She is a lovely appaloosa molly mule and will change color to a varnish ran as she ages. She is the sweetest filly imaginable. His last foal of the 2019 season is a gorgeous bay Percheron/ Quarter Horse colt named Lefty. This boy is going to be stout just like his dam and sire and was born with beautiful bone and conformation. All his 2019 foals have been sold but please stay tuned as he will have several mules and mammoth donkey foals to choose from in 2020.
