We are re-homing our gorgeous leopard Appaloosa Molly mule Jubilee, but I will be selective about her home. Here is a link to her YouTube Video. She is around 9 years old, 14.3hh, and drop-dead gorgeous. I would classify her as appropriate for an intermediate or advanced rider currently. When we purchased her, she was essentially untouched, and we have put A LOT of time and work into this mule.
She has been ridden many miles in the arena and the mountains and has had many different riders on her. She is sensitive and she reminds me more of the performance horses I grew up riding than your average mule. She would not do well with someone who was heavy-handed but she does need a confident leader.
Jubilee would also be an excellent dressage/ English prospect. She does not have a mean bone in her body, and she isn’t at all stubborn or defiant. She collects beautifully, she side passes, and is very responsive and well-schooled with groundwork. She has a lovely and smooth collected trot and a nice lope. She knows her one-rein stop and has good brakes.
Jubilee is doing very well on trail rides, but she needs more miles and confidence building. She loads and trailers well, she is very sure-footed and athletic, and she has been ponied and has ponied other animals as well. I do not keep her in a big pasture, and I can catch her within 10 minutes in a medium sized paddock. She would likely be more challenging to catch in a large pasture. The more time you work with her and ride her, the better she gets, and she tends to go backwards with too much time off.
As far as she has come, and as much as she has matured, I know she is going to be an amazing mule with continued consistent training. I just have too many projects right now and would like her to go to someone who has the skill set and time to continue her training. If, after reading this full description, you think she might be a good fit for you, please call or e-mail us for more information. Located in Gunnison Colorado and we can assist in booking shipping.
