George is a lovely black mammoth donkey colt out of our jennet Ruth and a lovely sorrel jack.  We purchased her in foal and Ruth produced a healthy, friendly and beautiful jack colt.  George’s dam Ruth is 15hh and his sire is about 14.1hh so he should mature to a nice height for riding.  Through no fault of his own, our adorable mammoth jack colt George back on the market. His original buyers are facing some medical issues and made the difficult decision to cancel their contract. We were there from the moment George was born and he is the friendliest most loving boy you’ll ever meet. He was imprinted at birth and has been handled extensively. He has been around dogs, cows, horses, mules, chickens, heavy machinery, and the barn he was born in was under construction when he was born so nothing bothers him. He is halter broke and very easy to catch and handle.  He will catch you if he sees you in his pasture.  He is everyone’s favorite, he adores people, he is very brave and independent, he has great bone, and he has textbook perfect conformation. There are going to be a lot of very sad people on the ranch the day he goes to his new home. He gets along with everyone and would make an awesome riding donkey. He is currently intact as his buyers wanted to breed him but he can easily be gelded. He can be registered based on him measurements as a mammoth when he is mature but we bought his dam in foal to a really nice jack who is not registered. We can’t say enough wonderful things about this boy and we would be keeping him ourselves if it made sense for our program. We will be very picky about his home as he is incredibly loved. He was born January 26th and will be ready to go to a new home the end of Jene. Because he was born in the winter when no other foals were hitting the ground he received a ridiculous amount of attention from us, our borders, friends, neighbors, and all sorts of visitors young and old. We anticipate he will mature to between 14.2hh and 15hh.
